Lost in a timewarp?

WOW! Where does the time go? 8 months since my last post! I’m not deliberately ignoring this blog but I don’t ever seem to find the time for posting anything. Even so *8* months! It only seems like last week.

They do say time passes quicker the older you get but that is just ridiculous. :(

Back again. Surprise!

It must be fate. Since my last visit to tumblr I had forgotten all about it. In fact I was planning to blog an actual post and was trying  to decide whether I should use my posterous blog or my newly created Wordpress blog. I’ve not really given either of them a proper tryout and hadn’t decided which I liked best.

In my usual fashion I was quite happily putting off making any decision until I had to and was instead checking my twitter timeline and came across a link to a comparison between tumblr and posterous. Not a very conclusive verdict but I decided to give tumblr a try and see how it compared. Surprise! the login screen came up with my e-mail address and password boxes already filled in. The comments had said that setting up an account was easy but this was ridiculous. Perhaps tumblr was partners with of one of my other online account providers Google? Yahoo? Flickr perhaps? Well it did have the same e-less r ending to the name. Selecting the URL box resulted in the autofill popup with the only option offered being Retrophile. Spooky!

Of course once I had logged in, it all came flooding back to me and so I guess I will have to bow to fate and post my missives here first.

Watch this space…

A toe in the water

Well I don’t know how this happened. I was innocently trying to re-install BBC BASIC for Windows when I decided to check the web site. A few hours and dozens of clicks later and I had joined a wiki, restored a couple of dormant accounts, updated a bunch of profiles and created another blog.

It remains to be seen whether or not I take to this new portal.

I may be back. I may not.
